Special Session on Threat intelligence to prevent cyberattacks in the tourism value chain and smart territories (Vig-IA)

Scope

The tourism sector and smart territories are experiencing a sustained escalation of cybersecurity risks driven by rapid digitalisation, growing infrastructure interconnectivity, and the large-scale processing of personal and operational data. Although digital transformation has improved efficiency, interoperability, and service innovation, it has concurrently expanded the attack surface and introduced emerging threat vectors and systemic vulnerabilities across the tourism value chain and smart destination ecosystems.

The special session “Threat intelligence to prevent cyberattacks in the tourism value chain and smart territories (VIG-IA 2026)” aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss recent advances in areas including cyber threat intelligence, cognitive modeling in cybersecurity, and Machine Learning techniques for cyber threat detection.

The session welcomes both theoretical and applied contributions, encompassing industrial case studies, experimental validation, prototype development, and real-world deployment experiences.
